Nine days in Budapest would seem like a good amount of time to be in a city while on a trip around Europe, but at the end of the nine days we were convinced that it was not. I mean it was bad enough with having a low budget, meaning that we were limited to what we could do and we definitely couldn't venture outside of Budapest to see more of Hungary. It was decided that we will be making another trip back to Hungary because there is so much to see. Rather than jam-packing our plans into a couple of days so that we had time to do more things, we took everything slower than usual to really take time to enjoy the city and what it has to offer. Toronto, Ontario’s capitol city and the gem of western Canada’s eye, has a bar for every man or woman. She is a city with a rich art culture and many a venue dots her landscape that offers up a great fermented beverage and a side of local talent. She is a city with a history that stretches back across the Atlantic to the shores of Western Europe and the vestiges of this heritage remain embodied in the public houses, taverns, and French bistros. She is a city with a dichotomy of the chic and the frugal, from chic resto-lounge and wine bar rooftop patios to pauper’s pubs and discount ale joints. Yes, there is something for everyone in this city who is brave enough to find it.
